I am Gabriel Messias, a custom software developer. For three years I have been building products for companies in Brazil and abroad, from SaaS to internal systems the team uses every day.
I work alone by choice. On smaller projects, talking straight to the person who understands the problem and writes the code makes everything faster. When the scope calls for other specialities, I put together the team it needs.
I do not hand over a folder and disappear.
A system in production has to keep working. That is why documentation, training, fixes and follow-up are part of how I work.
How I think
A good system is the one the team opens without complaining.
Documentation is not an optional deliverable, it is part of the product.
A fixed deadline forces you to decide what is essential. An open scope puts that off forever.
